Endocrine Glands and Hormones
Endocrine Glands are ductless glands. Hormones are their secretions. They are intercellular messengers generated in little amounts. Endocrine glands are found in several areas of the human body. Pituitary, pineal, thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, adrenal, and gonad glands are examples of endocrine glands. Hormones are also produced by the kidneys, liver, and gastrointestinal system.
It is located at the forebrain’s base. It is made up of Nuclei, which are secretory cells that generate hormones. The hypothalamus secretes hormones that govern pituitary hormone production and secretion. The hypothalamus produces two types of hormones: releasing hormones and inhibiting hormones.

It is situated in the Sella Tursica cavity, which is connected to the hypothalamus through a stalk. It is separated into two parts: adenohypophysis and neurohypophysis. Growth hormone, thyroid-stimulating hormone, prolactin, adrenocorticotropic hormone, melanocyte-stimulating hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone are all produced by the anterior pituitary gland.
