This year, for both the NEET(UG) 2021 and JEE 2021 NTA removes the age factor from the tie-breaking method.
NEET(UG), JEE 2021: The NTA has dropped the provision of giving higher priority to a candidate in older age in the rank lists of JEE Main 2021 & NEET 2021. The age of applicants is not mentioned as a factor for breaking ties in the information brochures for both the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2021 & Joint Entrance Examination 2021. In NEET 2021 the authority has used the age criteria to determine the all India topper since two students had scored the same marks (720/720).
