NEET UG Results 2021: Tie-Breaking Protocol

Due to the enormous number of test-takers, it is not uncommon for two or more candidates to have the same score in this exam.

Such applicants, however, cannot share the same rank in the NEET 2021 merit list.

As a result, NTA has a tie-break mechanism in place for such instances.

Tie-Breaking Parameters

  1. Candidates with higher scores in Biology are granted a higher rank than others.
  2. If the marks in the Biology section are equal, the candidate with the higher Chemistry score is granted a higher rank than the others.
  3. If a candidate’s marks in Biology and Chemistry are equal, the candidate with the fewest wrong answers is assigned a higher rank.
