Union education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan today (12th July) announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021) will be conducted on 12th September 2021 across the country. The application form for the NEET 2021 will be available from 13th July 2021 at 5 pm on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in

The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on August 1, however, the application forms had not been released till now. Soon after joining the office, Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has answered the much-awaited questions by students. He has also mentioned that COVID-19 protocols will be strictly followed.

In order to ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centers will also be increased from the 3862 centers used in 2020.

He further added that to ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, a face mask will be provided to all candidates at the center. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitization, seating with social distancing, etc. will also be ensured.
