After two months of the NEET 2021 examination, NTA has released the NEET results on November 1st. The authority has sent out the scorecards to the candidates on their registered email ids. The NTA has officially announced the NEET 2021 result on the websites neet.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in. The names, AIR, and marks of the NEET-UG toppers are listed below. Along with the results, the authorities have also provided a list of category and state toppers. In addition, NTA will post a press release on its official website. The press release will include full information about the toppers in each category and state, as well as their All India Rank and marks.

The NEET 2021 examination was conducted on the 12th of September under strict COVID protocols. According to the unofficial reports coming, there were around 16 lakhs applicants for the examination and amid the pandemic, more than 98 per cent of the applied candidates have appeared for the highly competitive examination. For the previous year’s examination, i.e NEET-2020 Shoyeb Aftab scored 720 points and received AIR 1. Akanksha Singh scored 720 points as well, but she placed second because of the tie-breaking rule.

Shoyeb Aftab, a student from Odisha, is 18 years old. He set a new record by receiving all A’s in NEET 2020. He is also the first student from Odisha to top the NEET. Akanksha Singh (17 years old) of Delhi is in second place but has the same marks as Shoyeb. She is also the first rural Purvanchal girl to pass the medical entrance exam. NEET Topper list 2021: Revised Tie-Breaking Policy

If two or more candidates have the same score, the following tie-breaker conditions are used to break the tie

  • The candidate with the highest Biology score.
  • If the tie is not broken, the candidate with the higher Chemistry score wins.
  • If the tie is not broken, the candidate with the lowest number of incorrect answers in proportion to correct answers in all NEET exam subjects will be declared as the winner.

NEET Topper list 2021: Counselling Process

NEET Counselling is the process wherein the authority assigns medical seats to NEET-qualified candidates. Seat distribution for NEET-UG will be determined by NEET results, choices made, seat availability, reservation criteria, and other factors.
