NEET Eligibility Criteria 2022 – Ministry of Education will release the date for NEET 2022. They may announce a date at the end of December 2022. NTA will release the NEET Eligibility Criteria shortly in 2022. More than 15 lakh students across the country attend this exam yearly. NEET eligibility criteria are certain requirements that need to be met so that you can appear for the NEET exam. NEET eligibility criteria can also be defined as a set of qualifications one must possess to apply successfully for the NEET exam. NEET eligibility criteria include a set of parameters such as educational qualification, nationality, age, reservation, number of attempts, etc.

Candidates who fail to meet the NEET eligibility criteria will not be able to apply for NEET 2022 as their applications could get rejected at the time of scrutiny. Hence it is every candidate’s responsibility to ensure that they meet the required eligibility criteria. It is important to note that NEET eligibility criteria should also be fulfilled during the time of admission or counselling process. NEET is a bridge for the students who aspire to become Doctors and serve fellow beings.

However, there are some eligibility criteria for applying. The NEET eligibility criteria would vary from state to state for example candidates from J&K have a different set of rules while compared with a candidate from Karnataka. It is important to read the NEET  Eligibility Criteria thoroughly before applying for the NEET 2022. This year the NEET 2022 exam comes with fewer restrictions. The National testing agency (NTA) has removed many restrictions such as the upper age limits, the number of attempts and they even considered the students from the open schools as eligible for attending the NEET 2022 exam.

Taking into account the difficulties of applicants to meet the eligibility criteria ( such as private students were not able to apply for the NEET exam earlier), each year there would be certain changes in the NEET eligibility criteria. Aspirants seeking admission to the MBBS course in AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER, and all AIIMS like Institutions will have to attend the NEET exam since admission to these colleges is purely based on NEET scores. The NEET  eligibility criteria shall also be applicable to the candidates who wish to take admission to the Institute of National Importance ( INIs) like AIIMS.

Let’s have a look at some of the NEET eligibility criteria which should be kept in mind before applying for the NEET 2022 exam.
