The NEET(UG) 2021 will be held under strict COVID 19 protocols, on September 12th 2021 in various centres across the country. The NEET 2021 application forms are active on the official website – from July 13th at 5 pm and the last date to submit the application form is on 6th August 2021. The NTA has also released the new exam pattern on the 13th of July along with the Application forms.

This year for the NEET 2021 the NTA has come up with internal choices in the exam. This has been done for the ease of students since the COVID-19 pandemic has already had a bad impact on the country’s total educational system. Earlier this year, the CBSE had reduced the school syllabus for 12th grade and following this, the pattern of internal choice was introduced in the JEE exams.

For the NEET 2021, each subject will contain two sections. Section A will have 35 questions and Section B will have 15, with candidates having the option to attempt any 10 of the 15 questions. So the overall number of questions and time allotted will remain unchanged.

There are rumours regarding the change in the NEET syllabus, but the truth is that the syllabus and the marking scheme will remain the same for NEET 2021. Four marks will be awarded for each correct attempt and one mark will be deducted for each wrong choice.

The following is the pattern for the NEET (UG)-2021 Examination

The exam will be conducted in 13 regional languages along with English. The preferred language can be chosen during the filling of the online application form. Sanitization facilities and a mask will be provided at each exam centre. Apart from the facilities the authorities provide, the candidates should be aware of the current pandemic situation and must take all necessary precautions to stay safe.
