Karnataka is one of the southern states that has a well-developed education system. The state is home to many reputed institutions and every year an enormous number of students choose Karnatak for their higher studies. The capital city Bengaluru itself has a lot of institutions for medical, paramedical, engineering, arts, and science colleges.
Karnataka has a total number of 63 medical colleges comprising both Government and Private. The state has a total of 9,345 MBBS and 3,445 BDS seats. Admissions to these medical colleges are strictly based on the scores of the NEET examination. Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore, shall be in charge of Karnataka MBBS counselling. Karnataka MBBS counselling 2021 will be conducted for 85 per cent state quota and 100 per cent private college seats. There will be two rounds of Karnataka MBBS/BDS 2021 counselling, followed by a mop-up round if there are any unfilled seats.

Karantaka MBBS/BDS Admissions 2021: Domecile Criteria
Before applying for Karnataka MBBS 2021 admission to government seats, aspirants should examine the domicile criterion.
- Applicants must have completed a minimum of seven years of study at a government or government-recognized institution in Karnataka to be eligible to apply for MBBS admission in the state.
- Candidates who have completed classes 11 and 12 in Karnataka and whose Sons and daughters of military personnel who have completed classes 11 and 12 in Karnataka are eligible. have studied in Karnataka for seven years are eligible.
- Candidates with Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as their mother tongue are eligible. Such candidates will be required to take a Kannada language test.
- Sons and daughters of military personnel who have completed classes 11 and 12 in Karnataka are eligible.

Karantaka MBBS/BDS Admissions 2021: Admission Procedure
- To participate in Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling, candidates must first log in at kea.kar.nic.in.
- Candidates will be instructed to provide their security key and password in order to log in.
- Candidates can check the security key from the acknowledgement slip that is sent following successful document verification.
- After logging in, candidates must choose a discipline.
- People who have selected medical, a list of MBBS colleges in the state will show. Similarily after selecting a dental, a list of BDS colleges participating in Karnataka NEET 2021 would be displayed.
- To choose a course/college, candidates must input the priority number in front of that selection.
- Candidates can fill as many as choices
- The choices made before to the first round of Karnataka MBBS 2021 counselling will be final and will be used in following rounds of counselling.
- Candidates who have registered but failed to fill the choices will be considered as ineligible
Karantaka MBBS/BDS Admissions 2021: Seat Allotment
The Karnataka MBBS seat allotment would be done based on the candidates’ choices, reservation criteria, seat matrix, and NEET 2021 rank and score. The seat allotment will be published online through their official website
Following seat allotment, students must select one of the following choices based on their status.
- Candidates who are pleased with the seat they have been allotted and do not wish to engage in subsequent rounds of counselling.
- Candidates who are happy with the alloted seats yet want to participate in the next round of Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling.
- Candidates who are dissatisfied with their seat allocation and do not wish to participate in the Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling process.
- Candidates who are dissatisfied with their seat assigning in the Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling, yet want to participate in the next round of seat distribution.
Karantaka MBBS/BDS Admissions 2021:Cut Off
