In this modern era of improved technologies, you have a lot of options to prepare for your examinations. NEET is a highly competitive examination that needs a lot of preparation and it is suggested by the experts that a student who aims for the NEET examination needs to have a good exposure to different subject-wise concepts to score well.

Physics is a challenging subject for most NEET aspirants. It takes a lot of time to understand the NEET physics concepts. Diagrams, formulas, numerical problems etc are the next set that makes NEET physics tougher. NEET physics consists of all the topics from class 11 and class 12th.

NEET Physics is easy to crack if you are good with the basic concepts. Here in this blog, we would like to give you ideas for preparing Physics for your NEET examination.

Tips to Study NEET physics faster and easier

1. Diagram

It is proven that multi-sensory involvement can improve your memory and help in grasping things better. Whenever trying to solve a problem, be it in kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or oscillations, make sure you always draw a rough diagram of the problem. Try to represent the problem visually. Looking at it gives you a better understanding of the problem and will aid in solving the question quicker and more accurately.

2. Experience

Unlike other subjects, physics is literally everything you see right in front of you. If you have a hard time understanding a certain concept like, let’s say, Torricelli’s law, just perform an experiment.

“Take a water bottle, fill it up with water and poke holes at different positions along the vertical of the bottle and there you are! You can now verify Torricelli’s law right in front of you”.

This is just one example where you can use your creativity and the simplicity of physics together to cement your understanding of the subject.

3. Learn from the Internet

The internet has the knowledge of every human that has ever lived on our planet. Unlimited information awaits you and referring to it sharpens your skills. Reading more about a subject can help you to be thorough with the topics and have a total grip on the concepts.

Search for the desired topic or concept and choose the content from the results. Let’s assume that you were looking for a photoelectric effect and you start reading the Wikipedia page or any other reliable article regarding it. Suddenly you notice something about Planck. Curiously you click on it because you’ve heard this name before. Then you learn about an absolute giant in the field of physics, Max Planck. Then you see photons and you dive into the concept of photons. Somewhere in the article, you read that something travels faster than light! How is that even possible? Then you read about tachyons and ECG Sudharashan and it keeps going.

4. Connect the Concepts

In Physics almost every concept is linked/ connected to each other. NCERT has done a beautiful job in presenting this connection in the most natural and fluent way possible. Make sure you understand that connection. You will relate to the smooth flow that the subject has and be able to connect with what you’re reading on a deeper level. Interlink everything you know, not just in physics but in the other subjects too. When you’re studying chemistry there are many topics that overlap and try to bridge the connection between these two subjects when learning them both.

5. Do your Math

Sharpening decent math skills can go a long way in getting that perfect 180. Math is absolutely essential to understanding physics and numerical abound in the NEET paper. It is one area which you can exploit easily. If your math is solid, then with a simple understanding of the concept and applying it to your equation, you can confidently arrive at an answer without a second thought. You won’t have to recheck because it’s said that math doesn’t lie! But to get there you need to focus on what is happening when you’re solving a problem. Recognize patterns. Form shortcuts and Master them.

6. Listen to yourself

Your brain through years of evolution has been perfected in the art of finding the simplest answer. And more often than not, the simplest solution is often the right one.

What we are talking about here is the use of good sense. Like we have mentioned before, physics is nothing but studying whatever is going on right in front of you. You have already lived in this world for years. So you know what seems natural and what does not. Try to use this intuition to rule out options in the test that just seems impossible!
