Tripura is a hilly state in northeast India that borders Bangladesh on three sides and is home to a varied mix of tribal cultures and religious groups. The oldest name of Tripura is Kirat Desh. It became a Union territory on November 1, 1957, and a full-fledged state on January 21, 1972. This state is geographically isolated, with only one road connecting it to the rest of India (NH 44).
In the year 2020, a number of 15, 97,433 students have registered for the NEET-UG examination. The state had only one exam centre for NEET 2021 and the details regarding the exact number of candidates who have appeared for the NEET examination is not yet released by NTA. Agartala Government Medical College is a government medical college located on the outskirts of Agartala. It is located at Kunjaban, close to the Malancha Niwas, the ancestral house of the Manikya Dynasty in Agartala. The G. B. Pant Hospital is connected to the college.
